The American Society Naval Engineers (ASNE) sponsors a scholarship program to encourage college students to enter the field of naval engineering. The program also provides support to naval engineers seeking advanced degrees within their field.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Undergraduate applicants must be full time students and can only apply for support for the last year of their undergraduate program at an accredited college or university. Graduate applicants can apply for support for one full graduate program year leading to an engineering or physical science degree at an accredited university. Graduate applicants must be members of ASNE. Eligible fields of study include: Naval Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and other relevant military and civilian professions.
